What Food Can Do For You… One bite at a time

If I knew then what I know now.

Food has the power to heal your body and something as simple as a meal plan can transform your life.  This is something I wish I had known when my kids were young and I found myself floating through months of physical pain waiting for surgery and managing it with pain medication that left me missing out on the moments I’ll never get back.  But take it from me, you don’t have to miss out on another moment.

I was born with severe hip dysplasia

and spent my early life in and out of surgeries, hiding my body, and dealing with chronic pain. Later in life, with 3 kids under the age of 10 running around, I needed another operation and this time it was a full hip replacement (I am literally a bionic woman.) Thankfully this surgery allowed me to become stronger - but the way I treated my body leading up to surgery and during recovery made these months much harder than they needed to be. I didn’t do anything to set myself up for success.

This is the very reason I am so passionate about teaching you how to take care of and heal your body with food. It is possible for you to live your life experiencing optimal health that gives you every opportunity to enjoy all that is ahead for you and your family.  

I make a choice to treat my body well now, so that I can be there for the things that are important to me in the future.  My kid’s graduations, weddings, grandkids.  And I am on a mission to teach you how to do the same. 

What you choose to eat can have a profound effect on your health. The right foods can hold so many healing properties and serve as a natural medicine for your body.  Did you know that certain foods can reduce inflammation in your body and speed up your body’s cell recovery?  It’s true.  

So much begins with what you put in your body.  The thing is - each body is different.  The way you release cortisol or how your hormones work is different than anyone else - and your body changes year to year.  So what worked for you last year, may not work for you this year.  That’s what I am here for … to help you navigate your changing body and determine what it needs most and when.
